The High Priestess

Uprightintuition · sacred knowledge · subconscious · divine feminine
Reversedsecret motives · superficiality · ignored intuition · hidden agendas

Seated between the polarized pillars of Jachin and Boaz—the dark and the light—the High Priestess acts as the guardian of the veil. Behind her hangs a tapestry of pomegranates, shielding the deep waters of the subconscious.

On her lap rests the scroll of the Tora, partially concealed to show that divine wisdom is revealed only to those who are ready to look beneath the surface of reality.

Upright

The High Priestess sits at the threshold of the seen and unseen worlds. Upright, she calls for a withdrawal from the noise of the external world to look inward, trusting dreams, intuition, and the quiet mysteries of the soul.

Reversed

Reversed, she reveals that secret information is leaking or that you are actively ignoring your gut instincts. It warns against superficial understandings and relying solely on analytical logic when spiritual alignment is required.
