The World

Uprightcompletion · integration · accomplishment · travel
Reversedlack of closure · shortcuts · unfinished business · stagnation

A dancing figure wrapped in a purple scarf holds two wands, floating inside a massive laurel wreath woven into an infinity knot. In the four corners of the card stand the same beasts from the Wheel of Fortune.

The World represents the ultimate synthesis of all the lessons of the Major Arcana. The Fool has traversed the entire circle of life and returned home, transformed into a master of both the material and spiritual realms.

Upright

The World is the final destination of the Fool's long journey. Upright, it represents total completion, cosmic integration, a sense of belonging, the successful realization of a major goal, and ultimate wholeness within the self.

Reversed

Reversed, the card shows that you are close to completion but are struggling with a lack of closure. It warns against taking shortcuts to finish a project, or indicates that unfinished business is keeping you bound to an old cycle.
